Hi,  I have an LG 43UN71006LB with OS v4.50.53 (latest)

I want to buy a TV for my mother who has dementia & poor eyesight.

She needs to be able to control the TV with Alexa - i.e. voice only without having to hold a button on a remote down.
I thought I'd test this on my TV and it works very well.  I've even set "routines" on Alexa so that saying "Alexa, BBC 1" is a shortcut for "Alex, change the channel on LGTV to 101" etc.

But - it doesn't work for radio channels (channel 704 is BBC Radio 4):
"Alexa, change channel on LGTV to 101" - works perfectly (101 = BBC 1 - a TV channel)
"Alexa, change channel on LGTV to 705" - "that command doesn't work on device LGTV"

It basically won't work with any of the radio channels (700 to 790)
      Also tried:
"Alexa, change channel on LGTV to BBC RADIO 4" - "hmm - I don't know that"
"Alexa, play BBC Radio 4 on LGTV" - "I didn't find anything called LGTV that can play music"

I thought I'd try to change 704 to another channel outside of the 700 to 790 range but when I tried:
"The programme number cannot be edited between programme 700 to 790"

I tried playing the Radio on the Alexa then using Sound Share to turn the TV into a Bluetooth speaker - this works really well - except that I can't turn Sound Share on using Alexa:

"Alexa, enable Sound Share on LGTV"  - "that command doesn't work on device LGTV"

      Anyone have any ideas?

Hello, I would like to get our new TV to show the home screen at startup instead of a Rakuten channel were never interested in.
I have set the settings to show the home screen at startup yet it's still not working, at startup were still only getting Rakuten...

So I've probably pressed something on the remote to cause this, but if I switch channels to say BBC1, the channel name banner will stay on the screen instead of disappearing. Holding the back button makes it go away, but don't want to do that all the time. Any ideas?

I see you have updated Web OS
Why do you have to screw around with it, I don't want your 'Apps Experience' I just want to be able to watch TV!
There used to be a button for selecting TV, it had gone now - why?
Every time you do an update the TV channels favourite has to be re-selected.
I write software for a living and if I treated my customers like you treat yours I would be out of a job.

Can you please put the TV channel selection back and possibly a setting so we don't have to wade through all the App garbage you seem so intent on wanting us to use - it's almost like you earn money from it...

Just a few months after celebrating 32 incredible years in the “Emerald of the Equator,” LG Indonesia has once again demonstrated its commitment to playing an active role in the nation’s development. On May 23, during a pre-opening ceremony, the global consumer electronics innovator announced plans to add a new production line to its factory in Legok, which already serves as a production base for the domestic and overseas demand for household devices and appliances, such as washing machines, refrigerators and domestic ACs.

The new line will produce LG MULTI V, LG’s Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) solution for commercial offices and buildings. The company’s VRF solutions are among the most versatile and powerful on the market, delivering enhanced energy savings and a more comfortable indoor environment. With demand for buildings to be more eco-conscious continues to grow worldwide, LG’s newly expanded factory is perfectly poised to become an essential production center for energy-efficient MULTI V  units.

Through this major plant expansion, LG aims to further demonstrate its dedication to supporting the government’s initiative to increase the domestic component level (TKDN) – a percentage of the value of domestic production components – as an effective way of bolstering Indonesia’s economy.

With a product range that seamlessly integrates into the everyday routines of locals, LG Indonesia hopes its latest initiative will spur on future collaborations with the government so that it can make an even greater contribution to the economic growth of the country.
Once preparation is complete, the first production stage is scheduled to start within the fourth quarter of 2023, initially producing 100 MULTI V units a month and then expanding as production progresses.

As well as its Legok factory, the company also operates a production facility in Cibitung, Bekasi, which currently serves as the central hub for manufacturing display devices like its TVs, monitors and various products catering to our clients’ commercial needs. Notably, this factory also serves as a key LG production hub to meet the growing demands of the Asian market.
