Perfect for Small Spaces, LG Eclair Features Immersive
Dolby Atmos Sound and Robust Bass With Low-Vibration

SEOUL, July 19, 2021 — LG Electronics (LG) announces the rollout of LG Eclair (model QP5) soundbar, its most compact model to date, starting in North America followed by other regions around the world. A 2021 CES Innovation Award Honoree, this soundbar is a great fit for contemporary lifestyles thanks to its sleek, compact design that fits well in limited spaces while still being able to deliver immersive sound.

Despite its compact size, LG Eclair delivers powerful performance with Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X support while still keeping peace with the neighbors with its low vibration, power bass subwoofer. Measuring only 296 x 59.9 x 126mm – only one-third the width of LG’s previously smallest 3.1.2 channel Atmos soundbar, SP8YA – LG Eclair features a chic oval design and jersey fabric in classic black or white that blend in seamlessly with any modern décor.

LG Eclair’s advanced, 3.1.2 channel system with wireless subwoofer employs Meridian Audio’s tuning and technology to deliver exceptional detail and spatiality. Meridian’s Horizon technology up-mixes two channel stereo content into immersive, multichannel audio to deliver a wider soundstage for a truly immersive listening experience with tonal balance that remains authentic to the original recording.

LG Eclair offers an enhanced viewing experience thanks to 4K pass-through support which allows viewers to enjoy stunning 4K and HDR content, including Dolby Vision, on their favorite streaming services. What’s more, adaptive LG AI Sound Pro analyzes the content being played and automatically applies the best sound settings, depending on which genre of content the user is enjoying, whether it’s news, music or cinema.

Not only does LG Eclair make sound come alive, it’s also designed with convenience in mind, requiring fewer cables without sacrificing sound quality. This is possible because enhanced audio return channel (eARC) support allows for the lossless transmission of 5.1-channel, 7.1-channel and immersive audio such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X on compatible TVs. Owners of 2021 LG TVs will also benefit from authentic and clear sound with TV Sound Mode Share, which combines the processing power of LG’s latest α (Alpha) AI processors and AI Sound Pro to reveal rich nuances of the content source.1

Beyond sound performance, LG designed the Eclair not only to elevate the home viewing experience but to reduce its impact on the environment. This effort has resulted in LG Eclair being recognized as an Eco-Product by SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA of Switzerland.2

1 TV Sound Mode Share and AI processor version vary by TV model.
2 SGS Eco-Product certification based on several categories including use of recycled materials in packaging. The soundbar ships in eco-conscious packaging with internal packing material made from recycled molded pulp, an alternative to polystyrene foam and plastic.

Another unwanted update, bringing unwanted changes and now my Cambridge Audio soundbar is screwed.
My LG TV just performed an auto update to WebOS 13.30.56. When the TV restarted, all I now get out of the ARC connection is a constant loud buzzing, no programme audio. Well done LG software team. A triumph!
I have tried resetting the soundbar (it plays fine if I plug in an external device) but all I get from the LG TV is BUZZZZZZZ. I tried restarting both the TV and the Soundbar: BUZZZZZZZZZ. I tried a new HDMI cable BUZZZZZZZZ. So what do I do now?? I did not want this OS update, it brings nothing to me and everything was working perfectly before the update and sound on the (awful) inbuilt LG TV speakers is working, but the ARC audio output to my rather lovely Cambridge Audio soundbar is now, since the Web OS update, just a constant BUZZZZZZZ. I decided to try the Optical output of the LG connected to the soundbar instead. The soundbar is flashing "AUDIO ERROR" at me (I have tried all of the different audio output format options, all with the same result).
It really pi$$es me off when software teams release badly executed updates that break their customers devices. We are not your R&D test department LG, we are paying customers with whom you lose trust, brand loyalty and future sales when poor engineering teams release software updates that are not fully tested. God only knows what LG have done here but after 2 hours of trying to resolve an issue THEY caused on my setup, I have given up.
Has anyone else had this issue and have suggestions please? I have tried to contact LG using their Email Support function, wading through the multiple layers to get to the right page and spending time typing up all the details of my support request, etc, but no response yet (other than the automated bot stuff).
      Thanks.

      Hey
I have an OLED C3 evo
A Pioneer amplifier is connected to the optical output.

I want to connect Bluetooth headphones and use them at the same time as the amplifier.
The thing is, I haven't seen such an option on TV. It is possible to play simultaneously with the Bluetooth headphones and the internal speakers on the TV.
There is no option for Bluetooth and the optical port at the same time.

      Am I missing something here?

      Thanks
      Dani

i just started using a new LG 43UR7550 (cheapest model from them).......1st time using a LG as well as a Smart TV too.......and so far having a hard time adjusting the picture and sound (never had such problems with previous TVs)😒

      1) sound is worse than i thought since the speakers are down-firing (my previous TV had front-firing speakers)...........it has the AI Sound Tuning - so after it had tuned the sound - do i set the Sound Mode to ''AI'' or should i use ''Custom Settings'' to use the equalizer ??😬

      2) the TV has many different settings like Noise Reduction, TruMotion, etc.......so how to calibrate for best picture since i read that people say it's best to turn them all off ?😬

      3) i can turn off the screen when watching free-to-air broadcast channels.........but can i turn off the screen if i'm using Youtube app on the TV..........?..........what if i use a HDMI cable from my PC to the TV - can i turn off the screen ?🤒

      many thanks in advance😃

My Denon sound bar use to work faultlessly. All of a sudden it won't let me adjust the sound through the LG remote. Never had an issue prior. And it won't turn on automatically.
I have power cycled, removed all cables and reconnected them, made sure I have HDMI Arc set and we'll as the Simplink on.
It use to say Denon is now available when I turned on the tv.
I think there was an update to the LG tv and wondering if there was something changed there.
      Cheers
