CPU and RAM usage of TV 55SM8600

Miljenko Kranjec

Question

I have an issue with freezing videos from my set top box IPTV. I used the same setup with plasma TV with no issues and I have fibre  optics at home, 100mb/s. I tried a lots of thing (changing hdmi cable, reseting box, tv, router) and only things that helps is when I turn off TV and after that it is ok 10,20 max 30minutes and then again video is starting to freeze, for example every 10-20seconds video freeze for 0,5s and this disappear when I turn off/on TV.

Is there a way to switch on some log service (like task manager in WIN) where could I see the CPU and RAM usage for TV since I think is either overloaded CPU or RAM for some reason?

      Hello,
55SM8600 TV player plays video mp4, but it does not read subtitles. Name of video file is "A Journey to the End of Time.mp4", name of subtitles file is "A Journey to the End of Time.srt", they are in same directory of course. There are no other files with same name. Any computer video player reads both files without problem - exactly same files.
I attached subtiles file - should smart TV read it? If not, then what should be format? Please point to a working sample.
A Journey to the End of Time.srt

      Hi,

I’ve got a 2017 65SJ850V LED TV with the latest version of webOS.
Does anybody knows if there’s a secret / hidden / service menu where I could see the number of hours the TV has been on ?
      I can’t find such info anywhere 🙂

      Cheers,
      Danny

      Greetings,

Since i bought an lg tv, i use a lot external hdd and smart share to cast videos / films from PC.

The problem is while i watch video / film this way, the subtitle button wont work. I had to go to menu,
link hidden, please login to view and go back to select SUB button. After that i can disable subtitle, or select another one. (Btw: I use the android Lg app too, but thats not help much with this procedure). I dont know if i miss something and thats why dont work, or its work this way.
For me the most comfortable would be that if subtitle button pushes repeatedly would change the subtitles, and if it reach the end of the list would disable the subtitle. And another acceptable option if its just turn on / off the subtitle.

      Im using a 32LB650v model.

      sincerely,
      Ottó

In webOS 1.0 or 2.0 it seems it was posible to check how many hours your TV was working until now:
(Settings | General | About this TV | Total Power On Time)

Is it posiisble to check this on 2016 LG TVs also ?
or sneak into some service menu, like it was in old Samsung 2010 TVs, and check it there?

      Thanx for info !
