      1. Download LgDTVUpDater [ 
      link hidden, please login to view | link hidden, please login to view ] Updated 19 OCT 2015
      2. Unrar and put LgDTVUpDater folder in C:\
      3. Open C:\LgDTVUpDater\dns\AcrylicHosts.txt
      4. Change 192.168.0.11 with your link hidden, please login to view
      5. Save and exit
      6. Go back to C:\LgDTVUpDater folder
      7. Run startDNS.bat and don´t close it
      8. Run startHTTP.bat and don´t close it
      9. Go to TV Menu > Network Settings > Ethernet/WiFi > Edit > Uncheck Set Automatically > Change DNS IP to your local IP address > Connect
      10. Go to General > About This TV > Check For Updates
      11. Accept downgrade to the first firmware TV
      12. Restart TV

      13. Back to TV Menu > Network Settings > Ethernet/WiFi > Edit > Check Set Automatically
      14. Go to General > About This TV > Check For Updates and follow TV instructions OR download available Software_File dedicated for your TV, unrar and put *.epk file in LG_DTV folder at USB stick
      15. Mount USB stick to USB port at your TV then accept upgrade when message prompt on the screen
      16. Restart TV and follow TV instructions

       
      For best performances go to TV Menu > General > Reset to Initial Settings
       
       
      Voila!

      I'm just setting up a friends new LGTV and can't find the BBC iPlayer (or any of the other UK catchup apps) in the Content Store.  Am I looking in the wrong place or doing the wrong thing.
       
      The TV (55UN7306) doesn't have the Freeview play facility so I can't use that to help him.

      It is now 2020, and the WebOS browser in LG Smart TVs (which I believe is Chromium-based) is still massively out of date and doesn't work properly with a ton of websites!
      The main problem is actually very simple. The browser doesn't support EMCAScript 2015 or ES6.
      Basically, translated from nerd speak, it doesn't work properly with modern code using new features created since 2015, so any newer websites will break unless they've been written to be compatible with ancient browsers and OSes.
      This should not be the case on a TV made in the current year. It should be running an up-to-date web browser, if not for convenience, then for SECURITY reasons as well!

      I have a LG 42LB630V, with the latest firmware installed.
       
      I want to know if it is possible to change the audio language, for a mkv file that has more than an audio language and how to add external subtitles. Those embeded in mkv files are running ok.

      i just purchased new smart LG TV , but when i search for IPTV smarters app it is not found on the LG content store

      Zee5 app was working fine in my TV, I bought premium account and loged in in TV but still it was not playing premium videos so I reset the settings in TV now I am not seeing the zee5 app itself. 
      Any suggestions please

      Hi I see issue with opening premium content video on Hotstar and Zee 5 app in india.
      All other things work fine but issue only appears for premium content videos.
      I suspect us this an issue with LG tv itself because both have similar issue.
      I have raised the issue with both hotstar and zee support. Is there any way to reachout and raise a support ticket with LG on this issue.

      Glad to see Zee5 app on WebOs, found below concerns about the app
      You cannot point and click using magic remote, you are forced to use navigation arrows on remote No option to select video quality (i.e. HD, Full HD etc) No option to select subtitles No resume functionality if i stopped watching a movie and want to see it from the point i have left last time No Live TV support And the most annoying thing is looking at the availability of the app on WebOS i have immediately bought an annual subscription of Zee5  just to discover that it still not allow me to watch premium contents, it only keeps showing 'Loading Indicator' whenever i try to watch any premium content, what a waste of my money.
      LG guys could you please help in this regard?
