webOS 04.71.00 on LG OLED65C7P no longer outputs to Optical/HDMI ARC?

Question

I'm not sure if something happened with webOS update 04.71.00, but my LG OLED65C7P no longer outputs sound to my LG SJ9 soundbar in Optical/HDMI ARC mode. SIMPLINK is on, HDMI cable hasn't moved, everything had been working like a charm for a year+, then no sound unless I switch to TV speakers, which is a bummer.

Anybody else in that situation?

Ugh, apparently it started with 04.70.85, others are having this issue here.

Do you have a LG soundbar? Are your HDMI cables close to your power cables? (as in, maybe tied together so it looks cleaner?)

I've raised it to support in Australia. How do you know that others are having the same issue? Can you provide details or links? The more people having issues the more chance of them lookihn at it.

My TV was still under warranty, so they had somebody come to my place and replace the board. His suspicion is that the power cable had interfered with the HDMI cables and send a pulse to the board, frying some HDMI components.

    • Question: Pages reload on switch

Hi, I own an LG Smart TV (43LK5900PLA) and I seem to have an issue with the browser. If I have more than one tab opened if I switch between them, they refresh / reload. The thing is this doesn't always happen and I haven't been able to figure out why. One thing is for sure - it is really, really, REALLY annoying and makes browsing the internet impossible on websites that have pop-ups. You may ask why. Well, because they usually open a pop-up whenever you make your first click. Pop-ups open in a new tab and the browser automatically switches to it. After closing (or going to the initial website tab) it reloads and .. well.. the pop-up again. Also, it's impossible to check e-mails and open links too. Same story. You click on a link, a new tab opens and when you go back to the e-mail it reloads and the e-mail is opened no more. Like I said, this doesn't happen every time. 90% of the times, regardless of what sites I open, of what I have opened when the browser opens. The LG webOS is up to date and I've tried clearing the history and 'clearing the cache ' in the browser. Nothing works so I'm pretty disappointed. Thanks in advance.

    • Question: Power on/off sound (melody)

Hi, M y TV (SK8000) started to play a short melody whenever I turn it on/off, I can't find anything in the settings that controls it, any idea how I disable it? It seems to start after I connected an Onkyo receiver to the TV via the HDMI ARC port, but I am not sure. I also entered to the IN_START and EZ_ADJUST menus but didn't change anything... Any ideas? Thx.
