@harry201204  I was able to downgrade my firmware using an epk file I found on a russian forum. After installing this one I could then install the  official ones from the LG.

Just make sure to edit the CheckSWManualUpdate with the SW version you will be using.

14. Go to General > About This TV > Check For Updates and follow TV instructions OR download available Software_File dedicated for your TV, unrar and put *.epk file in LG_DTV folder at USB stick
15. Mount USB stick to USB port at your TV then accept upgrade when message prompt on the screen
16. Restart TV and follow TV instructions

 
For best performances go to TV Menu > General > Reset to Initial Settings

If your attempt to downgrade your TV with LgDTVUpDater for some reason was not successful, you can try to use tool prepared by SMX.

After update latest version 5.80.25 my TV wifi turned off its doesn't opening .so how can I downgrade without WiFi or internet 

Remaining all functions working fine.

Looks like on 2019+ LG has changed the way the TV looks for the firmware file. I believe they have also made it dynamically request the name base on date and TOD.
Any programmers out there know how to get around this?

 

I'm trying to figure out is why the 2019 B9 is not pushing out a otaID like the 2017 W7. The Apache server is not grabbing any info, No request data when manually checking for a new firmware update? I'm thinking it's in a different format so the Apache with it's current settings just ignores it?

I have tried both methods .php and .laf

Hi everyone,

i was trying to follow the procedure of downgrading to older version on my LG 47LM7610 but i am stuck on where to download older version for my TV Model and what to edit in : HE_DTV_W15U_AFADABAA.File to be able to localize my downloaded older update. My TV have the latest update 04.42.08 and Netflix is crashed, so i am trying to downgrade to older version then update again with the new firmware file on my USB.

I appreciate your help guys ASAP.

I think I have succesfully made the HE_DTV file and placed the correct firmware where it should be etc. But the tv only says "The FW you are trying to install is older than tv FW, so skipping" or similar. It does not want to downgrade.

 

Is this the only way of downgrade or can we do with a secret menu, like service menu?

 whats the name that your B9 or C9 requested? my W7 example: HE_DTV_W17H_AFADATAA

and whats all the info inside it? I need to you post this too

i'm having some troubles in the tv, i want to downgrade firmware but no way , always showing that the firmware version is older then that installed .

can someone give me a hand please?

Hi........... i have need to TRY to reinstall the 3.21.40 firmware on my LG LF590V-ZA.

 

At right now, also i have already ask in this same forum, i have a little trouble whit opening of "Setting" menu at first time after i turn on my tv from standby. When i do it my TV goes in freeze and i see my TV Crash and made somethings like a self reboot.

 

I have read ALL thread but i don't have really understand how all procedure it's works........ it's someone can explain how i need to setup ?? Other question it's:

- My TV it's connected by LAN.... my ip pc it's 192.168.1.2 (router 192.168.1.1) and the tv have 192.168.1.5 both have a fixed ip... it's works in this mode ?

- It's this procedure works on current Windows 10 version ??

- How i can ask or contact someone to find i procedure for do this and try to fix this issue whit my exact tv model ?

Hello everyone, i need to help to downgrade my 43UJ651V tv. I succesfully apply all steps and at the last step seems this error message in the tv screen:

 

Update failed because software version is earlier than the version installed on the TV.

 

5.80.50 version installed on the tv now. But i want to return 04.70.55. Is this possible? Can anyone help me about this? Additionally, i am in Turkey. I want to install real official firmware. Can anyone send me the right firmware for me to install 04.70.55 ( I dont want to have language problems. I see the LgDTVUpdater package RU version)?

Can we overcome the obstacle to revert to old software using this method? Do you think this is possible? The link I provided is in Turkish, but you can translate it into English.

i could not downgrade  and  an error msg came 'upadate failed because SW version is lower than TV SW version'. My current firmware 05.05.45. This version  is not working for netflix 4K film. could someone help? I need to downgrade to the previous firmware 05.05.45. (work for netflx 4K film)

      Sky News stopped working after the webOS update

      webOS updated, I think to 2023, on my C2 a couple of days ago. Since then the News option on the Sky News app no longer works, instead timing out. The Weather and Climate options still work, though.
      I have deleted and reloaded the Sky News app, but the problem remains.
      Does anybody have any suggestions of what I might try to get this working again, or is this something for LG, or Sky, to fix?

      Hello,
      I have a problem with my new LG OLED G2 newest version 4 firmware.
      I tried sorting my satellite channels with chansort programm from github, because sorting them with the tv remote is a pain.
      When I try to sort them with the remote and have selected about 10 or more channels all the selected channels get suddenly getting deselected, so I can only select up to 10 at a time  to 
      sort them -> must be some kind of firmwarebug? 
      After exporting the channellist to a usb stick then editing it with chansort an importing it back into the tv all my channels are gone, all transponderns are deleted.
      First I thought it was a charsort problem but all channels and transponders get also deleted when I simply export them to a usb drive an import them back, without editing the file at all.
      Does someone know how to fix this problem? 
      And yes I´ve done multiple factory resets -> did not fix any of this behaviour.
      I also discoverd another bug the deletes all channels, because I needed to reboot the tv I searched for a reboot option in the tvs menu, but there is no reboot option.
      To do a full reboot (except from forcing it through cutting the tvs power) you can deselect the privicy agreements, after that the tv reboots, but then all channels are gone too.
