Recommended Posts

Away from the TV for s few days but I think I posted the version I have a while ago.

Hi , found it , you are on 4.65.50 same as I was on previously and the screen remote did not work for me on that in NZ mode either . Strange as I dont think theres much difference between our TVs .

Nope, can't tell the diffience between 5.00.04 and this one. No memory error after 3h20m. But now it's time for bed. (I am happy now no more MEM error).

Good for you, Demonrider. This app will now restart to free up memory on my LG650V when I searched for something in Google.

I do not have any problems with other applications, only this shitty browser pissed me off every moment. I hope that you remain happy when you wake up.

BTW I think that they already do not fix it. We need more physical memory rather than seeking a miracle in the firmware.

Ok, downloading as I type, I´m going to try this 05.00.15 software. My Raspberry Pi2 needs to be utilized a little more.

if all else fails I have not uninstalled the LG_updater so will be easy to downgrade, If not Dejan I´m coming after you. ;) for tempting me with your endless firmware supply's. :D

Cheers

Jon

I dont think the grass is any greener on the other side . I had the panasonic 60AS800 , so called flagship hd model for 2014 and it also had memory issues when using the webb browser , Dont think there installing  enough memory for the job .

I upgrade my TV 47LB731V to 5.00.15 and all working fine. I'm using ARC. I have Pioneer 921 Amplituner connected through HDMI, since yesterday no "memory error". I had it every 15 minutes on 5.00.04

For some stupid reason I upgraded to the 5.00.15 update and have lost multi channel over Arc again :( should have just left it alone.

Can u double check your settings ? I have no problem with multi channel over ARC/HDMI. Did u reset to factory settings after upgrade ?

Can I confirm that nobody is having issues with Out of memory when ARC is enabled and they are simply watching a HDMI input using 05.00.15?

In addition can anyone confirm the above true for 05.00.20?

I already using 05.00.20 since today, totaly no issues with ARC. Also no issues with 05.00.15 (I used it for few days)

Switching channels are quicker as well.

Panasonic also... Nice.

No not at all, I have had both and find it amazing that they both have the same errors that could possibly be avoided by more memory.

Totally agree. I don't understand that way. New TV, newest firmware and shit welcome again. My older LB5800 is still working perfectly. I think that's my last journey with fkng LG.

I have a mediaplayer connected to my TV OLED55C6V through HDMI. For every video playback the player tries to select an output HDMI signal format automatically depending on both video framerate/resolution and framerate/resolution supported by the connected TV to show the video as close to original as possible with the TV without any scaling. And here I have a problem: the maximum resolution the player selects is 1080p despite of the videofile has resolution 4k and the TV supports playback of the input signal up to 4K60p. I can change the output signal resolution on the player manually after blayback starting and it works, but it's not convenient. As far as I know the only way of getting information about videosignal format supported by TV for the player is EDID on HDMI channel. So is it possible to fix the issue? Maybe some hidden setting in TV could change the version of EDID?

webOS updated, I think to 2023, on my C2 a couple of days ago. Since then the News option on the Sky News app no longer works, instead timing out. The Weather and Climate options still work, though.
I have deleted and reloaded the Sky News app, but the problem remains.
Does anybody have any suggestions of what I might try to get this working again, or is this something for LG, or Sky, to fix?

      Hello,
I have a problem with my new LG OLED G2 newest version 4 firmware.
I tried sorting my satellite channels with chansort programm from github, because sorting them with the tv remote is a pain.
When I try to sort them with the remote and have selected about 10 or more channels all the selected channels get suddenly getting deselected, so I can only select up to 10 at a time  to
sort them -> must be some kind of firmwarebug?
After exporting the channellist to a usb stick then editing it with chansort an importing it back into the tv all my channels are gone, all transponderns are deleted.
First I thought it was a charsort problem but all channels and transponders get also deleted when I simply export them to a usb drive an import them back, without editing the file at all.
Does someone know how to fix this problem?
And yes I´ve done multiple factory resets -> did not fix any of this behaviour.
I also discoverd another bug the deletes all channels, because I needed to reboot the tv I searched for a reboot option in the tvs menu, but there is no reboot option.
To do a full reboot (except from forcing it through cutting the tvs power) you can deselect the privicy agreements, after that the tv reboots, but then all channels are gone too.
