Interesting. Southern hemisphere is at 4.00.13. Northern at 3.23.xx. Why LG?

Do we know the difference between 3.2 and 4.0? Maybe it is just localized features such as "today"? I have no clue as of LG's version policies, but a change in major from 3->4 would in my world suggest a major overhaul, multiple new features etc.

Is there NO way to get a changelog?

My TV just auto-updated to software version 04.30.08.

I noticed a lot of cosmetic updates:

* there are now tool tips when hovering over the settings options

* icon updates - my live tv icon is now an antenna (because i use an antenna), i think some other icons have been updated.

* i see an option for screen capture which i havent noticed before

On the downside, i can no longer watch movies through the web browser, such as using plex web. 5 minutes in to the movie the www app is crashing and complaining about not enough memory. :(

Software version 04.30.08

WebOS TV version: 1.3.0-3208(afro-arches)

It's not necessary turn off the TV.

If you goes to the 'live menu' and select 'Antena' instead 'Satelite', you can view again the DTV channels.

It seems that the TV is not capable to change to another input.

New feature: in channel configuration we can save (and restore) the TV channels to a file in an USB (XML).

      Hi,
I am new to WebOS and trying to setup my environment. I followed the same steps mentioned here:
      http://webostv.developer.lge.com/sdk/install-instructions/installing-sdk/
After completing these steps, I found four new applications installed in my system: webOS TV CLI, webOS TV IDE, Oracle VirtualBox, webOS TV Emulator v3.0.0. Now, when I am trying to run Emulator, nothing is happening. I am using macOS High Sierra.

Can someone please help me out in this? ☹️

Just got off the phone to lg support. I was told the web browser shuts down when attempting to stream video ON PURPOSE! Furthermore, once you stream anything from the internet, the cache fills up, does not clear, and prevents the installed apps from functioning properly.  I was told that the OS is a web browser NOT a web streaming service and if they allow customers access to stream video they will be in breach of their contractual agreement to the companies who have apps on the TV. This clearly doesn't happen on tablets or phones, so their logic for creating a sub par product is utter bollocks. I specifically asked the salesman if I could stream video from the internet and was told absolutely yes.  (Of note: I need to watch presentations by medical professionals, NOT ILLEGAL CONTENT. Ted talks is an example)  When I pointed this out to Lg customer service they re-iterated that a web browser does not confer the ability to stream video. This is misleading the customer, and effectively censoring and filtering internet content.  This must stop!

Every time I use the scrollwheel on the amazing LG remote for the 55" OLED55B7V TV nothing happens, until I realize I am scrolling in the wrong direction.
For everyone not accustomed with PCs, ie the whole mobile generation and all of us on the Apple platform, the so called "natural" scrolling aka "inverted scrolling" is what feels right. If I want the content on my screen to go up to reveal more content, I scroll the wheel up. On PCs and WebOS, you scroll the viewport, not the content, so you have to scroll down to make the content move up.
If it would be up to me, the default should be natural scrolling, but at least give me an option to change the scrolling behaviour! For me, the current behaviour is just jarring each and every time I want to scroll!
Moving a viewport is the old paradigm. Moving the content, as you do every day on your phones and tablets and PCs with touch screens, is how we interact now.
