  1. There is a thread about the issue. Please use it instead. TL;DR unplugging and plugging the HDMI cable back to the TV fixes the problem until the TV is turned off. Next time the TV is on I have to repeat this. I have the following setup: TV: LG SK8500PL SW Version: 05.50.10 webOS TV Version: 4.4.2-10 (goldilocks-gorongosa) Soundbar: Samsung Q950A connected via HDMI ARC port. It used to work OK but one day it stopped reproducing sound from the soundbar. When I try to adjust the volume I just have a grey DISABLED icon. So far, I have tried to play with all kind of options from the menu of the TV and I have power cycled it, factory reset the TV as well. I have tested the soundbar and the cable with my other LG TV and it works perfectly. I am assuming it is a hardware problem with the port, but I just wanted to ask here for any advice? Today unplugged and replugged the cable (again). The issue was gone. Could be some SW update on the Soundbar as I had a BT sync issues which are now gone.
  2. In Nanocell TV, the sound oñ some OTT movies etc, is very low and if you increase the volume to 80 only, you get a decent sound, whereas in TV programmes, sound kept at level 20 is audible. How to resolve this or do we need Soundbar?
  3. In the last few days my LG TV OLED65B8PTA suddenly drops the volume significantly fleetingly every few minutes. Am also hoping this isn't the start of the end of this massive investment I made a couple of years ago !!!
  4. Hello guys I can't play Dolby atmos in TrueHD format when playing from hard drive after I update my firmware and only DD+ is playing. I reset my device also but nothing changed. any Idea what to do?
  5. Hello There, My tv keeps increasing the volume. It differs by how much some times it jumps from 10 (my standard) to 11, sometimes to 14 and a lot of other random numbers between 10-100, it appears on the screen and the number increase in speed as someone is pushing a remote. Some facts from my situation: - I know it is not my own remote, as i've tried removing my remote batteries. - Theres no one on my network, except me. - It tends to happen more and more, the longer the tv has been turned on. - If i put my TV on standby, it turns on the next time it increases the volume. (This is not happening if i press the volume button on my magic remote, BUT it does happen when i use the joystick beneath the screen) My TV model is LG UF772TV and i currently run on webOS 04.25.85 i hope someone knows what to do, as it is seriously annoying. I dont have warranty anymore. If you have any questions, just shoot! Best Regards Asbjørn Dam
  6. My version is 4.10.4 which says it's the latest to my uhd tv .. I have a problem that picture is faster than sound and I only have option to increase the amount which make it worse .. anyone knows a way that the siftware gives me an option to make this value like -5 or something to have correct lip sync ? I use internal speakers.
  7. I recently purchased a second remote (LG AN-MR650A Magic Remote Control ) so both my wife and I have a remote to control our OLED 55B7A TV. However, when I paired the second remote then the first remote no longer controls sound. Both remotes appear to have other functionalities but the sound control only works with one remote. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?
  8. I have an LG 55SJ810V TV and Philips CSS5530B Surround Sound Speakers. The speakers work fine with everything except my LG ARC, including optical and BT from the LG and the ARC from a JVC TV, but I just can't get them to work off the ARC from my LG TV. I have played around for hours with the TV settings. The Sound Out is set to External (Optical/HDMI ARC), although it often returns to default internal speakers. I've tried it with SIMPLINK on and off and the mode as Auto and PCM. Nothing sticks. I say sticks because I've had it working for a few seconds a couple of times, then it just goes off. E.g when switching cables from my JVC ARC to my LG ARC it worked for a few seconds. I've tried the Device Connector a few times, using either the Soundbar or Home Theatre set up. I've tried this after resetting the TV back to factory settings too. Nothing. LG customer services didn't seem too helpful and said a technician would call but if they do they're not quick! Any ideas would be much appreciated, otherwise it's going back for another brand because the twin tuner feature doesn't work as expected either (can't record one and watch another).
  9. I have a new LG 4k UHD TV. 60" if that matters. I also have a new Yamaha RX-V481 a/v receiver. Try as I might, I can't get the sound from the WebOS apps, like Netflix, Vudu and Amazon prime to play through the receiver. Here's the setup: HDMI from Xfinity set top box to receiver HDMI in. HDMI out from receiver to TV HDMI input. So far so good. To move sound from the WebOS apps to the receiver, I have the HDMI-ARC output from the TV to another HDMI input (HDMI 3) on the receiver. That input is not labeled HDMI-ARC, and there isn't any HDMI so labeled on the receiver.I have the TV sound settings set to HDMI-ARC, and SIMPLink is turned ON. But when I turn the selector on the receiver to HDMI 3 I get no audio. Not sure if this is an LG TV or a Yamaha receiver setting issue. Though I am nearly certain that it is a user error issue.
  10. Hi Everyone Not sure if anybody's able to shed any light on this.... I recently bought a 55UF860V, which I like a lot. I have it connected to a Pioneer HTP-072 sound system, which is working nicely, BUT I have discovered that I cannot get 5.1 surround sound out of the TV. I have tried using both the optical out and the HDMI ARC thing, and both appear only to output stereo. I've had a good old fiddle with the menu settings, no no avail. 5.1 works fine with anything connected directly to the sound system. Funny thing is, I could have sworn that it used to work- I previously had an HDMI cable in use that didn't want to work with ARC, but since swapping it with another, I have been unable to enjoy Netflix in surround sound. Really wierd. Any suggestions gratefully accepted! Cheers Charlie
