New user to the forum! My TV is an LG OLED 65B6P, which was working fine until a few days ago, when the magic remote pointer and OK button stopped working (was getting message that Bluetooth needed to be initialized). After making the mistake of calling product support, they had me do a factory reset, but that didn't fix the issue, and only made it worse, as now I can't proceed from the "Start Up" menu as I can't click the OK button. I'm dead in the water, and have even tried this with 2 different magic remotes! I've tried the pairing and unpairing suggested on numerous support sites, and can't get anywhere with this. Can't even find an LG service center in the Boston area. I also have a Harmony Ultimate remote, but that likely won't help here, as I can't get the "OK" button assigned in the TV's current state. Any help is appreciated!

Help me out people! I want to know what is the compactible magic remote for LG UR7500? I looked everywhere, i cant seem to find an answer.

Since 4 weeks my TV (OLED55BX9LB) nags me I should replace the batteries in the magic remote. Is there some way to disable this annoyance? The batteries are still fine.

Hi folks, Is there some way to permanently disable the gyroscope in the magic remote? I can set tracking speed to high, medium or low, but "off" is missing :-(. With gyroscope enabled the scroll wheel is extremely difficult to use. As soon as I use the scroll wheel the air mouse is activated again. I have the impression that scroll wheel and air mouse do not agree how to move the pointer. Sorry to say, but thats really annoying. WebOS is version 04.40.15. Every helpful hint is highly appreciated.

Hi, I can turn the Wi-Fi socket on and off using the Google Home app on my mobile phone by using the voice command "turn socket on" and "turn socket off". Using the same commands with Google assistant on the magic remote, will turn the socket on but will not turn it off. Any advice please?

I have a one year-old model 43UK6500AUA, with standard remote only (no Magic Remote). I can find no mention anywhere of Time Machine. Does this model not include Time Machine II functionality? Must one have a Magic Remote to reveal this feature? I am also baffled by numerous references in the forum to using HDMI , which should not be necessary if using the TV's built-in tuner, as I intend to do. There is also mention of using USB3 for the external HDD. My TV has only two USB ports : USB1 and USB2 — or does this refer to USB 3.0 version (as opposed to USB 2.0)?

Is it possible to programme an additional function on to the magic remote. There is a missing EDIT button that my HUMAX FVP-5000T uses to bulk delete recordings and various other functions. I can’t seem to replicate that function with any button on the magic remote.

Anyone got any info if it's possible to control a Sky Q Box from a magic remote ? And if so what functions can be used? Happy to be directed to a thread or YouTube video. Thanks for any help

Is there anyway to change the colour of the pointer for the 'magic remote control'? Our dogs are going crazy trying to chase/catch the pointer icon on the screen. If I could change it to blue it wouldn't be a problem. I've found how to change the speed/size - that isn't the issue. Just any help of changing the colour would be great. Thanks in advance. Fenris

I have made the settings for Universal controller on the LG magic remote and it can now operate my set-top box, dvd player etc. with one exception. The tv remote can start/stop the settop box, change channels with the up/down arrow keys but there is no channel guide from where I select a channel visually. The channel guide page shows an empty table after the guide button is pressed on the remote. But everything is fine when I operate the STB with its own remote controller. I am using Tata Sky set-top box in India. Please help.

I unregistered my remote because the power button wouldn’t turn off the TV and now I CANNOT get it to re-register!! I need help! Did I break my remote??

Is it possible to program the 4 color button on the Magic Remote? For example, I would like them to switch to apps like YouTube TV, Vudu, etc.? My remote has 2 buttons just above the color buttons which are pre-programmed for Netflix and Amazon. I want to use the color buttons for other apps. Anyone done this?

Hello ppl I have 55 lb 6500 i am facing issues with my magic remote as the power on/off button is not working rest all buttons are working well even battery indicator also working on power on/off button just not able to switch on or off tv with magic remote nor am I able to connect tv with webos magic remote app my mobile can connect with Wi-Fi from my mobile but not scan and discover the lg tv on my lg mobile app.

I recently purchased a second remote (LG AN-MR650A Magic Remote Control ) so both my wife and I have a remote to control our OLED 55B7A TV. However, when I paired the second remote then the first remote no longer controls sound. Both remotes appear to have other functionalities but the sound control only works with one remote. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

Hi to all.... MY TV is LB6520 42 inch with firmware v 4.65.XX From yesterday, suddenly the magic remote stopped working except the cursor was moving on screen & using the wheel on remote channel change was working. All the buttons & clicks stopped working. Even my LG blu ray player remote which I use for operating TV on/off, volume, channel change etc. Stopped working. But the android LG TV Plus app was working smoothly. So using the app, I reset the TV from 'Settings' menu. Now at primary initialization phase where 'Language' & 'Country' selection is done, I cant click on 'OK' button [as no button/clicks are working on both the remotes]. Screenshot attached. So I struck on this screen & can't proceed. Is there any other way to perform the clicks for initial setup like using laptop, mouse etc.? Please Please Hep me. Note: TV bought from UAE. Now I'm in Bangladesh. Country was set to S Africa. No problem I faced in my 1 year operation of the TV. - Ripan

Hocus Pocus, with one wave of the "Magic Remote" LG Superholed me just one week before the Superbowl. My LG TV would not work due to the "Magic Remote" failing to register. I did a 'hard reset' at the tech's request which was to press home and back for 5 seconds, followed by the OK button 5 or 10 times. Unplug and unbattery everything, fresh batts, nothing worked. There is NO workaround for this issue, and after resetting to factory presets and all updates, I am now stuck with a TV that does not work. In a chat with tech support at LG, I was informed that ALL LG tvs now depend on pairing with the remote to work. He stated this includes the coming Signature W Series OLED77W7P, OLED65G6P , OLED65E6P , OLED55E6P C6 OLED OLED65C6P , OLED55C6P OLED65C6P , OLED55C6P B6 OLED OLED65B6P , OLED55B6P OLED65B6P , OLED55B6P. Failure can be caused by Bluetooth failing within the TV, the remote failing to work, or possibly a software update issue. For instance. In any case, your TV could become worthless ANY time due to the "magic remote" working. Good luck finding a used one as authorized LG retailers have already stopped selling replacement remotes for a TV manufactured less than 2 years ago. My question: How have other consumers been able to recover their losses from LG?

I saw this TV for €749. Since someone answered on amazon.de that the Magic Remmote will work I decided to grab this TV. Now my Magic Remote arrived and I have problems registering it with the TV. When I press the wheel-button I get te message "Failed to register Magic Remote. Please try again". I already tried changing the location from Austria to Germany (as described in another thread here), hoping to get a firmware update to resolve this problem. Would be great if anyone could help me to make it work!

Hi Folks.. newbie to the forum. I have a question regarding the voice search on the magic remote. I have a LG 49UF850V and when I perform a voice search I seem to only get results from YouTube. Is this expected behaviour or an issue? I'd love a way to get results from other apps I have installed - mainly Amazon Video and BBC iPlayer. Cheers for the help! AJ
