  1. It would be interesting to know if people actually do some research before buying a TV. If you know that you predominantly use Android based apps, why not buy an Android based TV?
Alternatively get a small Android box and connect to your TV. Problem solved.

  2. Can i get android app emulator in lgwebos tv. So that i can use all apk apps in webos. Or google chrome with all plugins. That also supports web emulator. I feels this will be useful
Android emulator on WebOS? Not sure there is any available at this stage but why not get an Android based TV instead? Problem solved.

  3. Do you know any another way of recording (Legally or Illegally). Please let me know...

My LG Tv is SmartTV and I think recording should be possible on Smart TV's

LG Smart TVs are the among the few TVs that can mainly record live signals e.g antenna. To record via HDMI, you would need either a set-top box or HDMI recorder.

  4. I am not able to record live TV which is connected through HDMI 3. Even i have connected USB. The error it gives me on recording is "SIGNAL NOT SUPPORTED"
Ah! now I understand what you are trying to do. I don't think you can record via HDMI. If you are using a TV box e.g Vodafone or Sky or something similar, you should check if it's supports live recording.

Go into the LG store and download the app, assuming it is in the LG store.
  6. Hi Sbzz,

That is fine, and based on this, LG shall expect less sales as people will move to Android. Another Nokia story! Fair enough.
I will do my best to advise anyone NOT to buy a TV with Webos, to avoid spilling his money down the drain.

    Fair enough. Goodluck.
  7. Hi there,.
It is now clear that any  OS, except android and apple,  suffers from low number of apps.
It is a shame to struggle with a 'named smart tv' to run a Web site or find a commonly used app!

Ok! We are stuck with this rubbish OS (bad OS due to the poor App stoee) , why LG doesn't develop an adapter to run android TV apps on the TV? Maybe after testing them, you can allow certain famous apps. Moreover, why don't they provide an easy porting tool for the developer?
Anyway, if they don't do this, I would advise any one to buy an android TV and ignore the useless OSs such as Tiazen or Webos.
    Regards,

This is a TV and not a PC. It's "smart" in the sense that it can do other simple stuff aside just live TV or pre-recorded video. You can watch YouTube, download available apps etc ..but trying and asking to turn a tv into a full blown emulator? That's a mighty stretch at this stage.

If you want android apps natively on your TV, it would make more sense to buy a TV based on Android. Simples.
