Haven't been on the forum for a while so you may have found an answer to your question by now. Recently I was running a 4TB Western Digital portable (unpowered) drive on a 2019 & 2022 LG TVs, now I have an 8TB desktop (powered) unit which works well.

Generally this means that the website may not been written well enough to recognise the webOS browser identification string and/or the version of WebKit and other technologies used is not supported by the site. This really does not mean that the site would not work at all, rather that the site provider does not want to spend the time, effort and money to provide the compatibility. To date I have not test my 2022 TV to see what the HMTL5 comparability scores are. I will report back when I have had a chance to do so. It may have been better for LG to have recompiled an existing browser to run on webOS, as building a web browser from scratch is a complicated thing.

Which streaming sites, what standards are they using and which 2023 standards are you referring to?
LG do not make apps for the platform as they do not have access to the information that would be needed to create an app for a client's infrastructure. Companies such as Disney et al are not going to give a third party access to their proprietary information and servers.
If you would like an app produced you need to badger the content providers to do it.

If we knew what model your NAS was the forum could probably confirm whether it supports DNLA, which if it does should show up in webOS is configured correctly.
Using an app such as Plex or Emby would give you an overall better experience than just using DNLA though (in my opinion).

Unfortunately, this is not a feature set that is included with webOS and would probably be considered an edge case scenario by LG. This is because it would require them to recompile/rewrite SAMBA and add a user interface to manage it to run with the webOS.

The short answer is no, the long one is yes but only if you or someone else creates it for the platform. It is not as simple as actually taking an existing browser, say like Chrome, and installing it on the platform. (mansplaining over...)

I am afraid that while this feature is a popular ask here on the forum, as of this post it is not an option that LG have implemented.
Raising the issue via LG's Twitter feed would be my go to starting point.

Could you provide some details to help other users help you?
Which model of TV, what Bluetooth device are you having issues with, and is the problem that you are unable to increase the volume at all because it is fixed at a particular level?

I suppose it is going to be a Plex issue as they produce the app, I know users not just on LG but other platforms as well who have had issues . If you are prepared to try something else then have a look at Emby, I have been using it instead of Plex for about a year now and have found it stable and an excellent replacement for Plex.

Unfortunately, there will be no upgrade for your television as NetCast (the OS on your set) runs on different architecture than webOS.
Your next best option is to purchase a streaming stick such as a ROKU.
