  1. I am using a 42-inch LG Webos TV from 2015. I would request LG to add Hotstar app to the content store. It will help us spend some good time while being lockeddown.

  2. Hey Everyone and thank you all for the thread and the tips! I also created the account just to say thanks and share/highlight this solution: Both my TV and Laptop were getting internet from the same Wi-Fi network I disconnected them both from WiFi, leaving the wifi radio of both ON I restarted the Laptop Then clicked the PC's "New notifications" window (down right corner) and chose connect and it worked. It seemed that Laptop the restart was crucial. If that doesn't work you could try after the restart to click from the PC's "New notifications" window first Just in case you can switch on the media streaming options from the windows menu as per https://www.wikihow.com/Connect-PC-to-LG-Smart-TV Project and then choose duplicate or extend and then the "Connect" or the "Connect to a wireless display" Hope this helps and much luck to all of you! After all I'd prefer HDMI if possible as strangely the connection seemed a bit sluggish. Cheers and good luck again

  4. I followed some instructions I found on the AVG support site: Change AVG Firewall network profile to private (open AVG Internet Security > menu > settings > components > firewall > customize > network profile > change all the networks from public to private) then go to Firewall customize settings again > scroll down > click on system rules > enable all the system rules if they're not configured then click OK. May sound a bit garbled but is quite easy to follow and solved my problem. Good luck!

  5. I ran into this same problem. For me, the problem was I had a dual band router and my laptop was on the 5Ghz wireless network while my LG TV was on the 2.5Ghz wireless network. Once I put them both on the same band, everything worked.
