GameFly Streaming Coming to LG's WebOS Smart TVs

Alex

Question

LG is adding a GameFly streaming app to its webOS-enabled Smart TVs, which will let people stream games on the TV without the need for a console.

The app arrives in April and will work on LG's 2016 Smart TV models featuring webOS 3.0 and 2015 models with webOS 2.0. Just plug in a gamepad—GameFly recommends the Logitech F310, F710, and Xbox wired controller—and dive into GameFly Streaming packs of titles like Tomb Raider: Game of the Year Edition, Batman: Arkham Origins, F.E.A.R. 3, Darksiders, and Red Faction Armageddon.

The app will also feature Lego Batman 3, Pacman Championship Edition, and WRC4 for families.

LG did not reveal pricing except to say the app will be available for a "low monthly price."

I would also like to know this. I have a 49uf6430 and my TV does not have the gamefly app nor can I download it from the store. My parents however have a 55uf6790 and they got it in an update. Spec wise, they are literally the same except for the sizes. So why don't I have it? Are they slow on rolling out smart TV updates like phones?

When using the Fubo app with my magic remote the app goes wildly crazy as I move the remote around. If I do not press the center button to activate the pointer navigation works using left right up down .

webOS updated, I think to 2023, on my C2 a couple of days ago. Since then the News option on the Sky News app no longer works, instead timing out. The Weather and Climate options still work, though.
I have deleted and reloaded the Sky News app, but the problem remains.
Does anybody have any suggestions of what I might try to get this working again, or is this something for LG, or Sky, to fix?

      Automatic Firmware Update
Press the Home/Smart button on your remote to bring up your launcher bar.
Click the Settings icon in the top-right.
Choose the All Settings option at the bottom.
Choose the General menu from the left.
Scroll down, near the bottom of the list, and select About this TV.
From here, make sure Allow automatic updates is checked, and click the Check for updates button.
If an update is found, follow the steps on screen to download and install it.

In the specifications of this LaserTV it is shown that WebOS 6.0 should be installed on this device.
The latest Device Firmware Version is 3.01.02 and i am missing the RTL+ App (Germany) which should be available with WebOS 6.0
So any info when there will be a "real" WebOS 6.0 available on the Cinebeam HU915EQE?
