Yes, it is quite simple.

- Go to future menu by pressing the last card from the main menu;

- Find your app;

- If you are using magic remote put the cursor over your app and an arrow will appear above the app;

- Click on the arrow. The app will pop out from the line. From this point you can rearrange the apps or you can delete the apps by clicking the X from the top of the icon.

And what if I don't have the magic remote?!!!

I can't for the life of me work out how to delete an app IF I don't have the magic remote.

Even LGs own 'Smart Tv' page only references how to delete Apps using the Magic Remote. It is ridiculous.

Anyone know?

Thanks for that, I'm going to try that app tonight, although play store reviews seem mixed (as ever).

Also, another C6903 user here :) haha. Old Z1 still going strong.

No it isn't simple guys.

These icons are just shortcuts to installed applications.

Removing them does not uninstall applications from TV.

To remove installed applications, you must reset TV to factory settings - very stupid, but true.

I came here mainly to ask this very same thing and this:

When you are scrolling the applications (ie after you click the "My Apps" button) click on the UP ARROW over the selected application and it will show you an X, then you are asked if you'd like to delete the application.

Worked for me. In yer face, Wuaki! Now to find where to post the next question.. :)

Thanks, E0Zyo and Flaviu, for the correct answer.  :thumbsup:

I do not have Magic Remote.

Go to MY APPS

Look for the pencil icon on the top right

Select the pencil icon – text EDIT will appear

Small window Drag here to delete will appear

Select app to move or delete, or drag it to the desired location.

Magic remote (or equivalent Android app) not needed, the regular remote works with the up arrow and the x, but I'm sat looking at the "My Apps" home screen just now and am not seeing any pencil icon, the icon at the top right on that page is the one which is clicked on to go to full screen in a game or browser window.

For anyone still looking at this thread...in the 2016 WebOS 3.0 version without a Magic Remote....choose the app you want to delete and hold down the OK button on the regular remote, it will "pop up" the app and give you the X, you can then arrow up to choose the X and it will ask you if you want to uninstall the app.

For anyone still looking, the above individuals in general have no idea that LG makes more than one remote and interface.

1.) If you have a magic remote then go to the tab that has the app and hover over it and you will get the options described above and delete.

2.) No magic remote came with your tv.  Then there are at least 3 interfaces with the TV BUT a universal way to delete the app IS to find the PENCIL.

However, it is not always as indicated.  Normally it can be located as people said, within the app area 'way up high to the right'

unfortunately LG has now also changed this and some TV's have the pencil down on the APP list, and located all the way to the right (lower side).

When you scroll over to it click it and it should instruct you how to delete.  Generally got back to the app tab and up arrow.

3.)  Some TV's respect the hold the OK button when you have selected the app, but it varies if it gives you the delete option.  Most start with the move the icon option.  If you use the 'Hold the OK Button Press' on the app tab and you get the move the icon option first, then you need push the down arrow to get into the normal edit mode and then up arrow to choose delete.

LG has NOT been consistent with this interface.  In addtion, apps are listed as free and are NOT and hence you must come here to find out how to delete as

LG has NOT put how to delete or uninstall in the help files.  NOR can you search for DELETE or UNINSTALL in the help files or guides.

Good luck.

PS I have not checked the memory usage on LG tvs that have the magic remote to see if SIMON is right but I suspect she is.  However, on my TV 50uh5530 when I delete the app tab using the pencil, it does free up the Internal Memory.

Once again, LG inconsistency!

      I have been in hi end AV technology for years and I have purchased a ThinQ "smart" TV. After finally finding a way to stop the ridiculous loud static start up now I want to find a way to have the TV start at an installed app (Google TV etc.) instead of the unused antenna or HDMI input. It seem this would be the default if not just an option on a smart TV when actually using installed apps. Have I been missing something or is this some bizarre epic fail?

      Thanks

      The LG Gallery is a very nice application, I use it many times, but unfortunately there are few classical paintings. Unfortunately, uploaded user images are represented by a variety of transitions and animations, which greatly worsens the artwork.
      It would be good if:
      - The number of factory-downloadable images would increase to multiple
      - Simply display user UHD images without any crossover animation (get the effect on and off)
      - It would be possible to play back-up images in random order.
