Today we received this message on Facebook from OpenMobile...

A few weeks ago, we wrote to you letting you know about the approaching release of our groundbreaking software, ACL for webOS. We just wanted to follow-up and let you know that IT'S HERE! ACL for webOS is available for purchase at www.bit.ly/aclforwebos, which means you can run Android apps on your HP TouchPad TODAY!

For those of you who are unaware, our Application Compatibility Layer software, better known as ACL, enables non-Android devices to seamlessly run Android apps, giving you instant access to thousands of more apps on your HP TouchPad, including those that are most popular, such as Netflix, Twitter, Instagram, and Evernote, just to name a few. Upon installation and activation of ACL, your TouchPad becomes instantly loaded with the OpenMobile AppMall, your one-stop-shop for all of your favorite Android games and apps, all of which have been tested and approved, ensuring that they will work just like they're supposed to on your TouchPad.

Hi there, I have the following tvs:
      OLED55C26LD
      OLED42C24LA
And I'm trying to change the area code using the service remote, so I can download apps from USA (I'm currently in the UK), such as Max, HULU etc.  I'm trying the codes which are bandied around the internet, but the area just stays as EU.  I've noticed on youtube videos etc that the older models with the older OS have no issued with this, but mine seems unable to change.
Does anyone know if perhaps the newer models have newer codes?  I've used 1793, 1843 and 22287 (as found in this very forum).  But nothing happens.  Any help from users who may have got this working would be appreciated, thank you.

      Hi,
I have my LG 4K Smart TV -Model : 43UJ632T.
I could not able to use the Wireless Keyboard ( Logitech K230) with Builtin Apps like Youtube, Amazon Prime or in Netflix to search. I could able to use only thru Magic Remote.
But the same Keyboard is working fine in Google Movies & SunNXT apps.
Could you please help me in fixing the same.
      Thanks,
      Sriram.

I have recently purchased a qned 99 and I can’t see how to close apps running in the back ground like I was able to do with other lg TVs I have.
The tv is running the latest version webos and obviously tried YouTube for the answer which only seems to say holding down the home button but all this seems to do is open the last app I was using.
      any ideas gratefully received.

      Hi all.

I've been very happy with my LG OLED but recently the WebOS updated (to the version with square tiles for Apps); and I can no longer work out how to close Apps.

This is important because I need to close down Apps like Youtube, NOW TV, etc because if I don't, I then have connection problems with other devices (DHCP perhaps), such as my Xbox. The only way to get around this at the moment seems to be "hard resetting" the TV; i.e. turning the TV off completely at the wall (not easy to get to), before trying to boot up an Xbox or similar. This seems to clear the Apps/connections.

It works fine if I was just using the TV for freeview. It's only after streaming something.

I used to accomplish this by going to "Recent" and then closing Apps individually. I can't find a way to close Apps now - is there a way in the new WebOS?

      Thanks.
