I've also got problem with subtitles not showing <i> italic </i> subtitles and it's extremely annoying. I mean, thats a very basic feature and it's really bad of them to not implement it in some way. I have mailed them three times and I've only once gotten a response that "they will contact our specialist and get back to me", but nothing yet. I also called them and some guy talked about this being something that they have chosen to do. Honestly I didn't really understand his explanation of this and just told me to "erase all the italics in a subtitle file by editing the document" but that's not what you should need to do in my opinion, and it's a pain in the ass when you've got a big video library. I'm really disappointed, I even bought a Raspberry Pi in order to watch movies without any troubles because this italic problem is driving me nuts. I wish they just would fix this, it's probably the easiest thing in the world. I believe that italics works on some older LG TV that I've tried, it's just stupid not having it working now.
